IERI Call for Research Proposals 2023 for developing countries

Program details
IERI has supported numerous international research activities since 2004. We continuously contribute to addressing the global challenges caused by climate change in developing countries. IERI was nominated as an observer organization under UNFCCC at COP 26 in 2021 to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris agreement and ambitious 2030 emission reduction targets.
From 2022 onwards, research on climate mitigation technology approaches especially in the areas of 1) carbon reduction and renewable energy; 2) climate change and sustainability; and 3) the implementation of water treatment technology in the field, is anticipated to intensify and become increasingly interdisciplinary, with a strong emphasis on innovation, policy integration, and global collaboration. This research will be pivotal in tackling the urgent challenges posed by climate change and working towards a more sustainable and resilient future. The proposal will be evaluated by the feasibility of climate mitigation and its contribution to human beings in order to achieve net-zero carbon emissions in developing countries by the mid-century.
